Citrix ICA/HDX client doesn’t work after upgrading to Internet Explorer 9

 

I have been running in to issues with XenApp client software prompting to download launch.ica after some users upgraded their internet explorer. If you are having the same issue, please find below the fix for it. I am sure Citrix will come up with a hotfix soon, but until that happens, this will correct the issue.

Step #1

  1. Open internet explorer
  2. Click on Tools and deselect (tick mark) ActiveX Filtering

Step #2

  1. Click on Internet Options, Security and Add the Web Interface Site (your citrix web site address) to the trusted site. Click OK to accept the changes
  2. Close internet explorer and launch Citrix
